Seriously, it won't hurt anything, just dry it afterwards. Use isopropyl alcohol if it's really sticky.

 

Alcohol. Get the best stuff you can find, as it will leave less residue. If there's a chemical supply place in your area, see about buying a bottle of the really pure stuff.

It's what we use to clean/dry nickel electroforms.

In all seriousness, water is what the place that manufactured the PCB used to clean it after the solder bath, and it's what we use in the lab.

Any kind of alcohol is great for stubborn residue. Isopropyl is safest (fewest contaminants), and it doesn't have to be super pure.

Water does not hurt circuit boards that don't contain electromechanical parts (switches, potentiometers, etc). PCBs are actually really hard to damage unless you expose them to acidic liquids or harsh solvents (eg: I'd never use brake cleaner on one, and things like orange juice are quite harmful as well.)

In the last few years I just decided to say "F it" to fancy jeans and went back to Kohls and got some levis 513s. Prior to that I had some very comfy, but utterly ridiculously priced 7-for-all-mankind jeans.

If you want to be the cheap baller, pick up some 501 shrink to fits 2" too big in the waist and 4 inches too long and then impress your family by standing them up by themselves.



If you want to be even more baller and money isn't the conern, you can have some custom jeans made in some 25 oz denim (double your last pair of heavy jeans) or some other more reasonable weight. Very fancy.

Quality jean being better than my no name brand that are not even Levi

Thin material, rips easy.

Really looking for something that will last a very long time.

 

When I buy new jeans, I just get normal fit wranglers from Walmart. I have given up on anything nicer because for a while every pair of Levi's I had got holes in them from being paper thin.

 

I had 3 pair of Levi's **** the bed on me in the last few months. All lasted no more than 6 months. I buy Costco jeans. $20 and they seem to be holding up equal or better to the Levi's.

Nothing will last forever. I normally have 2 pair of jeans, and they get worn 12 hours out of the day, 365 days a year. If I have a pair of jeans last longer than 6 months I'm a happy camper. They get worn working outside, working on the car etc.

 

The new Wranglers that have a little bit of stretch to them are what I wear for work everyday now. They last well, are inexpensive, and they don't bind and put undue pressure on my enormous *****. I get them at Target. The jeans, not the giant *****. They are comfortable and give a broader range of motion without needing to be baggy to do so. The jeans, not the *****. Go to Target and try some on. *****, I mean.
