How (and why) to Ramble on your goat sideways

Reports of an "armed subject" on campus...hoping they're false.
Probably some Corps guy with a rubber duck M16... but SWAT is already out here with snipers on top of Kyle Field, and we can't leave the building.
I've got an exam at 6:30...and this isn't helping me study. That's reason enough for me to choke the gunman. And you couldn't pick a dumber place to start a shooting...

I messed up last season, we had an unexpected cold snap early in the winter. I was on my way to school and noticed the temp gauge about to peg out, and pulled over. The damn radiator was frozen nearly solid. I had to limp it home a mile at a time, stopping long enough to let the engine cool. It was so cold that the cold air across the radiator was keeping it frozen, even after probably an hour of driving and idling temps. You would have thought the hot coolant would have eaten a hole right through the block of ice, but I guess not. My radiatorbarn all metal held up and I had no leaks afterwards.

Oatmeal is such a bland food. I always remind myself of why I only eat it every few years. Eating oatmeal, sipping room temp Powerade. Quite sure my "issue" is actually a viral or bacterial stomach bug. I've had gastroenteritis before, and it was NOT fun, and this feels a bit similar. Not sure why I just realized it. I guess I'm just used to my typical bowel issues. I left work again last night, right after the woman I sit next to left with stomach issues... maybe I got it from her, or I had it and gave it to her. Though I don't think it spreads like that. Either way, still sick, but not as bad as I was last night. Got some sleep and feel a bit better. Maybe it will pass in the next day or two. Last time I had it, it took about 4 days to get over it.
Random observation, American English is sure to be the eventual primary English (like if all english speaking people were thrown together) dialect because it's the easiest, and requires the least amount of effort/movement. Speaking with a British accent, I notice a lot of extra movement. American English, like many other American things, is a lazy dialect.
