What did you break? Are you satisfied with choosing the surgical option?

I opted out of hand surgery to repair my latest boxer's fracture. Not sure if it was a wise decision, but my right hand is already fucked from years of reckless behavior.

Yeah I know. I'm wondering how long before I can go back to boxing, if that's even possible. As well as construction work and other strenuous activities.

The dr keeps telling me how crazy it is that I ******* broke **** and continued punching until I rolled my wrist and snapped the ligament.

I told him today its been a good lesson for me and probably the best anger management I could have had. He said next time, punch something that can move, like someones jaw. ******* awesome dr.

I broke 3 metacarpals and snapped the ligament off my wrist. Originally they had said 4 metacarpals, but he only ended up pinning 3 of them.

I had a similar surgery in 2008 for my left wrist and its been pretty solid since. Same dr, same injury, happened different though.

I was at work and we were stripping a big wall about 1 hour out of town, and I had my own car with me and wanted to go. My bro (20yrs older and the foreman) kept giving me **** and telling me that I had to stay and finish, then I could go. All I was in a hurry for was new puss and alcohol anyway, and now that I look back in time it wasn't even really worth it. I was pulling form after form off the wall in a fit and in doing so, when I pulled up on one of the forms I felt a pop. I wasn't exactly sure wtf I did, but I kept working for 6 months or so before I even had it looked at.

Its been over 2 years since the surgery and it doesn't just randomly pop out of place anymore, nor throb and hurt all day long. Worst it does is click when I rotate my wrist. I was thinking I should have him look at the left one now, in case I did any damage to it from this little episode, but I'm afraid that he might say it needs work again. So I'll probably leave it be, unless it starts acting up.

Hands are important. Especially when you didnt care so much about school and skipped college, and now depend on them to make money. Esp if its a labor intensive job. Hopefully sooner than later I can go out on jobs when I want, and spend most of my time in the office doing estimates or in the garage working on the trucks.

 

Maryland FTMFL. Today i went to get my car inspected, and i was told unless they put holes in my front bumper to mount a tag (which i did not yet have), my car would fail.
So i said **** it, drill the holes
Then i proceed to the dark lord Satan's house, AKA the DMV. I waited for an hour and a half, and they were only about half way to my number. I had to leave so i wouldn't miss my class, so now i have to go back tomorrow morning.

Yeah same here, so is Meg. We enjoy him a lot, saw his show at the Borgata and whatnot. But people have moved on, and even though I watch TBS cause, well I really don't know why but it tends to be on often, I don't think to turn it on at night to see a late night show.
