Why did you have to mail order jeans?

Braineack 07-16-2010 12:20 PM

Bond 07-16-2010 12:20 PM

Wrangler at Wal Mart for $20 all the time.

You can always pick up nice jeans at Target or Old Navy for 20 bucks.

Only if you are into fatass comfort fit or high-school faded creases.

Seriously, dark wash Levi's 501's and 514's for $35 at Academy. And you can buy ammo at the same time.

Quick question. I have my hard top almost sold ($800) However there's another buyer that wants to look at it tonight. How fucked up would it be to sell it to the guy that is coming to see it tonight and offering the full asking price ($900) instead??

Not wrong, just tell the other guy you have someone offering $900 and act like you are doing him a favor by giving him the right of first refusal. If he doesn't want to up his offer, that's his problem.

EDIT: Unless by "almost sold" you mean that you've verbally committed to the $800 sale. Then I'd honor it. That's why I tell me buyers that I'll honor their right of first refusal but if they can't commit to show up with cash in hand, I won't hold it for them so they can change their mind or lowball once they get there.

Wouldn't be messed up in the least.

Money talks.

Maybe I verbally committed a bit. The guy offered $750 I think. So I said hell no, the lowest I would consider going would be $800. He then call back and said he'll go with the $800 so I said we could meet up Saturday and finish the transaction. Thus I feel a bit wrong calling him and tell him.. hmm yeah I have a buyer for 900 do you want to bump up the cash or are you walking? I would really like the extra $100 but I feel a bit wrong about considering doing this.

RotorNutFD3S 07-16-2010 01:11 PM

It's messed up if you've already committed to the $800 price like mgeoffriau said.

mgeoffriau 07-16-2010 01:16 PM

Your word is worth more than $100. I'd probably contact your first buyer and just confirm he is committed to show up, cash in hand, mentioning that you've got another interested party.

There is no word. i'm reading this as "the guy is going to show up tonight, and 750$ isn't enough."

There's no confirmation that he'll be buying anything.

Unless you told someone, gave your word, that "you can buy x for x$" there is no word given.

Sell it for 900$.
