That moment after you've just had a really gratuitous and satisfying bowel movement, and you look down at the sheer enormity of what you've left behind and think "How is it even anatomically possible for all of that to have been inside of me and still leave room for my internal organs?"

I'm building a pair of subwoofers for brgracer's home theatre. I'm making him a "Linkwitz-Transform" version. These are 15" aluminum cone woofers in a 2.5 cu ft box with built-in plate amp...
blue line is with the amp modded to remove the as-supplied "bass boost" feature. i.e. the naturall roloff of the sub in that box. ignore the right side above 100 Hz as there is an adjustable low pass filter on the amp too.
red line is the measured response after adding the linkwitz transform circuit. response is flattened and extended down to a -3db point of about 14 Hz.
Sure it's going to cost a little loudness and a little excursion but the two subs will be pretty damn loud.

I dont know why, but whenever I come to the shop I HAVE to drink beer.
At home, I have beer in the fridge and dont touch it for weeks sometimes. But just to come to the shop and be in this environment I always feel the need to stop at the liquor store and get some.
There's been a lot of tension down here lately and eventually somethings got to give. I'm hoping the beer helps whenever its time. Probably why I drink when I'm here....
