so theory question for you guys,
would making a new seat pan, and bolting the seat to the floor give me the extra room i need to be comfotable driving my car, i feel like i need an inch or two more leg room and about 2-3 in head room.

 

would you even need a new floor pan? Why can't you just pound down the nubs and bolt your seat to the floor? I thought you sold the car Tadd?

 

still have it, been trying to sell it for a while. but i took it out last night and had a bunch of fun and remembered why i liked it so much. then bounced my head into the roof bars and remebered why i hate it.
And also it wouldnt be this one, my buddy has a rust free shell hes willing to part with for a good price.

 

Haha, I'm glad your Mellon survived. I've seen some pretty tall guys 6'3 or maybe a but taller, that have fit in the miata. Have you thought about a cheap Corbeau seat bolted to the floor or something with side mounts that let's you recline or are you trying not to spend any more cash?

 

there are some cheap ebay mazdaspeed knock off's in it, they are on the stock sliders. i have sat them on the floor without any mounting and i still need a bit more room.

 

Wow, you must have a long *** torso. These are problems my midget self doesn't have to worry about. I'm short enough that even an economy seat feels like business class.

I assume you already deformed it as much as you can tolerate?
