I can top that.

My desk is within audible range of the microwave. So I can hear it beep when someone punches in numbers, or when it's done.

OR WHEN SOMEONE WALKS OFF WHILE REHEATING THEIR FOOD AND THEN LETS THE MICROWAVE BEEP EVERY 10 SECONDS ONCE IT'S DONE.

Sometimes this goes on for several minutes. I sit at my desk and wonder, would I be more or less irritated than I am right now listening to the beeping if I got up and stopped the microwave for them?

We have that same problem. It's such a trivial point, and yet I am tempted to build and install an apparatus which senses that the microwave has been opened and then re-closed with time remaining on the clock, and releases a hungry, pissed-off condor from a trap door in the ceiling.

I generally hit cancel a second or two before the time is up because I find the beeping annoying. I do hit clear afterwards though so my leftover time does not show up. You should put a passive aggressive note on the microwave for your coworkers.

Doesn't work. Last year I created a flowchart which depicted the correct procedure for taking coffee from the coffee machine (a conventional drip-style unit), which included at the end a branch where, if you took the last of the coffee or left less than one cup in the pot before 10:30 am, and failed to make a new pot, a lion would drop from the ceiling and maul you.

Everyone got a good laugh, speculated as to who has posted it, and then it disappeared about a month later while the kitchen was being cleaned.

Perhaps it wasn't meth heads- maybe it was a couple of kids who were attempting to travel backwards through time at a rate of 1:1 to a fixed end-point?

the microwave thing drives me nuts.

I think a better option would be to have the microwave door lock permanently and the timer automatically adjust to 10 minutes when you press the open button before the time has elapsed.

because **** YOU TIME LEAVER ONNER, your food is doomed!

That makes soooo much more sense than the way I initially read his post. I was so confused.

"How does he know someone stole his ? How does he know the was on the SUV at the time of the abduction? I can imagine there being some pawprints, but how did he pinpoint the timing?

"Why would meth heads steal a anyway? What possible use, besides a meal, would they have for it? Was it just done in a meth-induced craze?

"How did he know it was meth heads and not a crazy lady who was offended by his treatment of said ? Is this guy Sherlock Holmes?"

The local meth heads in eureka take the cats in to recycle and get money that way. F√¢€|^¶ asswipes need extermination. Just another reason to buy a semi auto 12 gauge shot gun.

Especially with something as dreadful as meth. I've seen it do some real damage. The only thing that may be worse is heroin/pills. Some really sick stuff.

Lol nevermind. Apparently the local parts stores don't know the meaning of "direct fit," despite advertising their parts as such.

You mean... direct fit after some cutting and welding, neither of which i have the capacity to do at the vehicle's present location.

I learned that complete rebuilt and overhauled engines under 500 miles will give you unnecessary heart attacks... heard a "knock" that gradually got louder and more abundant, checked the oil for glitter (no glitter) so I drained my supra's oil, pulled the motor out, and pulled the pan in fear for my bearings... and everything looks good, no movement at all, no side to side play in the rods...

...broke out the stethoscope and learned the noise is coming from the cams.

My paranoia caused unnecessary labor, RTV replacement, and a 50 mile oil change since the initial 200 mile break-in change.

fack.
