Yea, I had a red miata that wouldn't go into 5th or reverse. I tried everything. And I sold it to a guy for what I had in it. I still come out. I swapped the rims and a few more good parts from it to another car. But I was happy to see it go!

Likely a 60k car, maybe around 20k in mods, under 1 year old and using oil. Makes me appreciate my 14 year old Miata.

It happens to 94+ too, mine is a 94 as well.

 

doesnt hurt to try. honestly, if some idiot thinks a "catch" (keyword) can will help fix an oil consumption problem they are silly.
