Trey, that is terrible! I wish you a speedy recovery! Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Also, that is not a tow vehicle.

**** that sucks to hear. Sometimes there is nothing you can do. I dropped at about 20mph because I'm an idiot (tire dipped into a parallel crack I couldn't see and **** went cray) and I thought I got out pretty good with some pretty bad road rash and a ruined shirt and pants. Now a week later my wrist is somehow getting worse. Might actually have to go get it looked at :( Probably doesn't help I kept lifting at le gym.

Sleeper CRaVe...

P.S. - My wife made me get one of these abominations when I first started working at Honda. We had a 2008 2WD EX. We "owned" it (work lease) for two years and honestly the car sort of won me over, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It's a good combination of MPGs, space, useability, driveability, etc. etc. I think the AWD ones don't have such good MPGs, and I added the Euro underbody covers that increased MPG quite a bit. YMMV

Sorry to hear of your fall, hustler. Heal fast.

I got on the bike again after a near death crash. It takes a few weeks, but your confidence will return.

I trained on a broken scaphoid, was not too bad except when you hit bumps you don't see.

So being that this is the bike thread....

I need some aero brake levers for my retrobike modernization project.
Most used **** is beat up, so im looking for new.

Needs black hood and chrome levers to look proper.

Any suggestions?

No bueno Trey, good luck in your recovery. Be nice to the murses, we don't appreciate our butts being grabbed.

If you can't find new levers, just polish old ones on a wheel and then buy new hoods. You may have to remove the clearcoat with easy-off, but they should polish up nicely. I have refinished lots of campy stuff this way.

Mine now are non-aero and are missing hardware. they work but not well.

I bought new calipers and would like to bring modern braking to my old chromo bike

Just looking around... chain reaction cycles has a good deal right now on ultegra levers...

Shimano Ultegra R600 Brake Levers | Chain Reaction Cycles

Coincidentally cheaper if you add left and right into the bin instead of the pair (same shipping)

These should be great. no plastic in them like the lower end Tiagra variant. Return springs will be a nice upgrade, hood covers will be an upgrade, aero will be an upgrade, new brake lines will be an upgrade (vs the old fraying 1980 spec lines). Pumped.

Sorry to hear about the crash. You will be back up to speed sooner than you think.

I have been busted up before, and it can be pretty depressing, but even that will pass before you know it.

Without physical activity, use the time to do brain stuff like Lumosity, meditation or this:

Damn hustler, I hate to see that.

I know way more street riders with major injuries than the offroad guys. Cars suck.

Yeah **** cars. But also **** cyclists that dont obey traffic laws and make cars hate us. I'm considering getting moto gloves just so I can dent fenders and not hurt my hand.
