So who was the ass that instigated the clutchnet group buy? :) insta-ban!
|
actually i suggest it when the ACT GB didn't go through. :bang:

oh what the fuck, "experimenting with"?
how about "we're sending you cash money for the hassle." |
So what, they were satisfied with non working clutch kits for a while but they thought for the hell of it why not "experiment" at making some that work?
|
I have both a full face disk and a 6 puck, I compared and they are both the same thickness. What is the thickness of a stock clutch? Is there any way of knowing if it's too thick before it all goes back together?
Now I'm nervous. |

Damn Brain, experimental eh...
|
maybe if they didnt have those big ass copper heatsinks.....
|
My disk looks just like that. I wonder why mine works exactly. :dunno: It's a combination of my 626 flywheel, custom slave setup, b2000 clutch fork and clutch pedal adjustment... don't really know what though. I just did some measuring to make sure the parts would work and then sized the slave rod. It's shorter than b2000 rod but longer than the miata.
You'd think the would compensate for the disc thickness in the pressure plate ring position. |
you'd think, but the pp friction surface is exactly at the same place as the oem and centerforce pps.

since im bored ill post the datalog of the pull on the EVO i did, wish I had tuned my EBC better, as you can see it was pretty much just an open wastegate line...damn near got my AFR dialed in perfectly.

man look at that bomb ass MAT.
|
So Clutchnet clutches really do suck? Glad I spent my wad on the SPEC after thinking hard enough about going cheap. Sucks man, I'm sorry to hear.
|
Thanks for the heads-up. I plan on upgrading my clutch soon and will be going with ACT instead of Clutchnet. I agree completely that a little more money is worth saving a lot of hassle.
|
Damn it. I measured mine, 8mm. Anyone know if they are giving refunds? I'd rather send it all back and go with good stuff.

Bad News: Clutch failed; going to buy an ACT and sell this POS Clutchnet bullshit. its been fine all week, dunno what the deal is. Shifted down on my way to work into 3rd, shuddered really bad. I immediately feel the clutch pedal get engine vibrations and feel rough. I hear the TOB whine when i press the pedal down and I have to slam it into gear. I guess the TOB failed, I'm not sure, but im tired of all the issues with Clutchnet related issues. Never had one problem with ACT so I'm going to go back to it. Fuck Clutchnet, Fuck Russians, Fuck Shims.

Oh I love it when you talk dirty.
Is it all Russian owned, or just Russians working there? Im Russian, and let me tell you this, buying shit from them is usually a shell game. Except me, cause I was raised in America.

go install something. anyways, im russian and lemme give you some advise: dont buy our shit hahahahahhahahahhaahah its probably made in china anyways |
I emailed them about a refund. Hopefully they will give me one. If the clutch doesn't fit I don't see why they won't. If they don't thats BS and I say we spread the word.
|
Scott i hope you finally step up to a big boy clutch like the XT. I think it will suite your power and style alot more.
