Just because I'm late to the Miata party means nothing. I helped my dad before I was a teenager. He taught me to rebuild brake cylinders before I was old enough to drive. Back then (old cars) there was no internet to order parts, so you either found one at a junkyard or fixed what you had. First car I can remember working on was an old tank of a Kaiser (Chieftan) that he bought for a winter beater.


Edit: just for the record, I'm 50 years old. A geezer in comparison to most of you children.

I still don't see a "I know more than you na nan na boo boo" statement. I kinda agree with having a zone free of n00bs and for people who have been around a "get it" when it comes to using a forum. MT as a whole seems to be like one big forum of OGs. MT doesn't tolerate the n00b **** and will either put someone in their place to the point where they shape up or GTFO....bannishment if need be as well.

I guess I am lucky in the dealings I've had with people on there that I have never been scammed/burned. But then again, I've really only dealt with known reputable people on there. Most of my dealings happen on here anyway. I've always posted stuff/bought stuff from here before anywhere else.

First post in a long time.

Anyways,I remember posting a question in the "slammed" thread( I think it was that thread)asking what was the purpose of having a car that was so low,it broke oil pans,accompanied with poor fitting wheels & rusty body panels.The majority of the repsonse's I got from the socalled experts from 06 members were " you just don't get it".

So as far as I'm concerned,it doesn't matter if you're a 06 OG member or you only been there a year,the majority of them are all retards,regardless of how long they have been on that site.

I would like to have a set that had OMG at redline on every gauge. I really would.
