MT.net Motorcycle Thread
#261
Man I've been too ashamed to even go into this thread lately, cause its been months since I removed my fairings to repaint them and still haven't finished them lol
Gotta get up off my lazy butt and GIT-ER-DUNNN.
Looks like more and more members are having fun on some sexy looking bikes. This is always a good thing.
Stay safe guys

I love my Buell more than any other machine I've ever had. Maybe because It was once in 1,000 pieces on my garage floor, and now it eats up canyons like it should. Kind of just proud of it. Its now got a 3,000 mile engine and trans, new rebuilt front forks, fresh brakes etc. It came with a salvage title, but I'm never going to sell it so this does not bother me one bit.
I wouldn't ever trade or sell mine, but if you want one you better get on it before the prices go up.
First ride :
Btw I always wear all my gear, that picture was just after I rolled it out of the garage for the first time before gearing up.
I will update you guys with some real pictures once i go on a ride or two and get some. Sorry for the buellxb watermarks, i uploaded all of these pictures over there for a build thread and its way easier just to link them here rather than reupload.

What I want to see more than anything is a good video of that bad boy and preferably one showing the tach/speedo so I can admire the torque making that needle jump
I rode a buddy's SV650 a few times recently and it re-defined my appreciation for a v-twin. I no longer give a **** about crotch rockets and their 18k rpm redlines, which is why the tt is going to be sold asap.

Definitely a HD derived "thunderstorm" buell vtwin. Basically a HD motor, lightened cases/jugs, lightened crank, high compression pistons, cams, EFI, Velocity stack intake, and to top it off ECU that has fully tunable fuel and timing maps with JUST a spy cable and free software. Good for about 100whp/80wtq with bolt ons and a tune. Not the fastest,, but for an air cooled street motor its perfect imo.
As for the sound, thats very relative.
I love it.. =)
