We've had one 70* day before 5/5. Oregon's record for waiting on a 70* day was in 1967, when we waited until 5/5. That's saying something about the weather. And if we do have a dry day, it's been surrounded by down pours, including in the morning and night, this year has sucked for nice riding weather.

The infamous left turners....
Sorry to see your bike take it's leave like that. Sounds like you faired okay though.
I recently picked up a bike I've wanted for a looooong time. Really the perfect street bike for me. Had to sell both the CBX and the ZR-7S to afford it (and bribe my wife).
2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200 S
Bike looks like this when it's not spread out across the garage...
(the night I picked her up)
So far I've slapped on a D&D exhaust, K&N air filter, GSX-R1100 cams (same basic motor) and adjusted lash, DIY timing advance plate, opened up the airbox, cleaned and rebuilt carbs, and am currently going through jets to find the right setup for all these mods. Expecting close to 130whp...
I also did a neat mod that replaces the "left is lowbeam, right is highbeam" bulbs with dual element SilverStars that light up both sides for high AND low using a few relays and such. Mod turned out really well, and easier than expected.
Also put on some new Dunlop Q2s and am waiting to see how I like them. Needed new tires to pass inspection and could afford the Michelin dual compounds, so we'll see how they compare. New EBC HH pads all around, an '06 GSX-R 1000 rear shock upgrade, new 15W fork oil and a spring preload spacer should all make it a pretty tight-riding machine.

so about 3-4 months ago the wife says he wants a motorcycle. Kinda weird as she has always been against me getting. two weeks ago I bought her a 2003 ninja 250 for $1500. It needs some paint but she likes it and it fits her(she is 5' 4"). So last night I picked up a 2005 zzr6 for $1800 from a friend. Gotta replace the rear tire and new pads for the front but all in all a nice clean bike.
