Closer man, closer. XBRR was a XB derived bike that used a thunderstorm vtwin much like whats in my bike, but its a 1450cc stroker and made somewhere around 140whp.

The bikes that had the rotax powerplants were 2009 and newer 1125r, 1125cr, and now the 1190r, and 1190rr.

those are all very sexy bikes as well =).

I used to have a YSR 50. It's a 2 stroke, it's simple.

I bought a 72 CB350 a few months ago, and I've spent about 1000 hours and $25 on getting it running. I've never owned a bike that was this intensely smile inducing, lol.

My folks had that exact model sitting in the garage for years, sold it for $100 when I was about 14. Would of loved to get my hands on it, if only they had waited a few years.

Can't believe I never posted my new bike. I sold both my old CBX and the Kawi ZR-7S I was dailying to give my wife a little cash and buy a Suzuki Bandit 1200 with a rebuilt motor I had my eye on:

Since then I've added:

-GSX-R1100 intake cam (and valve adjust)
-GSX-R1000 ('06) rear shock and heavier weight oil in forks
-new Dunlop Q2 tires
-new EBC HH pads
-K&N filter with hacked airbox lid
-D&D full exhaust
-cleaned and rejetted carbs (157.5 mains, 27.5 idle, and needles shimmed 0.020")
-dual element headlight mod with Sylvania Silverstars...gives high and low beams on both sides instead of the stupid "left is low, right is high" stock setup
-DIY 5* timing advance
-rebuilt clutch master and slave cylinders

Pretty much got it exactly the way I want it...and love it.

Too bad kid #2 is on the way and wife wants me to sell it...LOL.

i think some interpretation of the rules let them actually re-cast the motor into something unique.

I had a CB350-4 back in the day (same color as yours). I bought it from my uncle, it came with a huge Windjammer fairing and crash bar on the front. I almost lost it one time turning into a parking lot when I grounded the crash bar on one side. Took it off right after that. The bike was a blast, winding its tail up to redline was oh so sweet. I'd love to get another one.
