355 with aluminum pro topline 200cc heads
victor jr., 750 mighty demon
comp cams 292 hydraulic
turbo 350, 3500 stall
12 bolt rear, 4.10 gears- 12.37@107 so far.
Thats it?? Seriously? I trapped a 109mph in a bone ******* stock LS1 T/A with the factory F1s on it.. Six speed, Nuggah! For all that money, what a sorry setup.

Let em talk ****, and I hope they continue to read this... Cause they can all go **** themselfs! "oo.. I'm driving a little girlie car, but I have my big manly gas guzzling money pit at home, that'll make me feel better cause I have a tiny tiny little dick.. So I'll make fun of all those miata guys, call em gay, then drive one myself! yaaaaay!"

"Oooh.. It had only 200rwhp and they think its fast.." Guess someone failed at physics, along with their abortion of life. Power 2 weight > your fucktard ghetto boxes. Why make 400hp when 200 works better. Die in a fire.

I was actually thinking the same thing. 12.4 is pretty sorry for that light a car, that "big" an engine, that much astall, and that much gear.

I did read that thread and he did try to defend his Miata there, although somewhat half-heartedly as he knew it was a no-win situation there. But, it quickly gave way to the bashing. It's too bad. He could have opened their eyes up a bit.

textual hazing isn't illegal on the internet, yet. We get at least 15 drifters a day asking the same questions. It gets annoying fast.

what the OP should have done was post a lol cat and everything would have been a-okay.

But yes, as annoying as the n00bs are, such is constant muckraking.

Sam's post has merit, while he came off strong, he did so for good reason. He wasn't trying to offend him, just to save himself from the himself...

He posted a clear direct answer to the question. What killed this kid is whining about everyone here being mean to him, refusing to use anything that approached the english language, and how old he is in every subsequent post. ******* Emos.

NO, you missed my point. He was defending the Miata in that thread on his Malibu site for a while, saying it handled great, etc. but when everyone gave him crap about the "chick car" he went back to bashing. Read just the first few posts. THAT is what I meant. Only a Malibu guy could ever convince the other Malibu guys that Miatas are cool. None of us could do that. We don't have the Malibu cred.

Why do I notice a pattern, that stories of drivers doing **** towards miata drivers happen in CT, RI, and thereabouts?

Cause alot of pampered kids around here have yet to get their asses kicked. I have yet to walk away from a conflict on the losing side. The kids in the Jeep had the look of death on their faces. Once I was out of the car screaming with my veins popping out of my neck, they wanted to get the **** away from me.

In the past 4-5 years I have only had a handful of incidents. I more so have people asking me about the car, thumbs ups, waves, etc. Generally people like the car, and it is well known in my area. But there's always those couple of ***** that need a scare to put them in their place.

What I posted was no different than I've said to dozens of other NOOBs. I've got a word file at home with a click-and-drag PM note I send out a lot with this link to those deserving NOOBs who just need a shove in the right direction:
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting

Yes, sometimes I take it upon myself to educate NOOBs in my own way and without fail, I get return PM's thanking me for the insight and encouragement (until this kid).

I also usually link the FAQ, the m.net Garage, the Useful Saved Posts, and Begi and FM. I tell them the same things. Read, Search, Google, $$$, Goals, Skills, Purpose... and then make a good post.

I get 2-3 PM's a week from people wanting more information from one of the dozen or so writeups I've done, where to buy stuff, what T25 to buy, how does this work?, what does that do?, etc...

The only thing that happened here is that a 17yr old kid with no sense of humor and an inferiority complex couldn't get over the fact that somebody was trying to teach him something new and treating him like an adult in the process. But since I'm not infallible, and have been known to be wrong in the past, I'm punishing meself for trying to help NOOBs by staying away from them for 6 more days.

^ What we really need is an addition to the FAQ sticky answering all the common questions.

I actually wanted to sit down and dig up all the posts and threads I made from about 3 months ago and back. All my megasquirt and turbo related questions, take em, and compile them into a giant addition to the FAQ. Everything I have asked, and beaten to death is being once again dredged up by every new joiner.

Just need to find the time, so many questions.

I am happy though, when I showed up around July I think I was one of few noobs so you guys nurtured me.

Imho, in reference to the thread and the kid. Yea Samnavy was a bit tough, but I cant blame him for all the aforementioned reasons but noobs dont know so we have to do the same but softer and nicer.

My mother always says, its not what you say, its how you say it. We should think about that.

Edit: We also have to make that FAQ a mandatory read before posting. Maybe even a small test before thread making privileges are granted. If one is serious, wants to learn and wants to stay, he/she wont mind doing these things.

well, either way. it was just an observation on this forum in general. you just happened to be a direct example out of that thread.

either way, at the end of the day it doesn't matter THAT much to me.

that vid's pretty damn funny, though.

I think this board is full of ********, myself especially included. Its a car forum, and just like most other car forums, you need to have thick skin to survive. If we lose people because of that, especially the 17 year old in question, I'm certainly okay with that. I do appreciate that the posts on this board maintain an "above 3rd grade" reading level.

Moving out of danbury was one of my better decisions in life...too many rich kids/wannabe gangters/mexicans. Torrington isnt some kinda gem or anything but people generally are way more mellow and friendly here.

And honestly, i had way more incidents when i had my mustang than with the miata.
