Quite a few fatties at cons, just something you gotta accept.
I need to work on a better rig for taking pictures in low light. My ghetto paper flash diffuser didnt work that well. That, mixed with fully manual exposure without a light meter made for many missed shots.

For this I was using my Pentax K10 as it does better at high ISO than my Canon does.
The problem is that I dont have a modern TTL flash, so I have to do manual exposure (without the aid of the light meter as well), which is a problem because I was constantly at different distances from the subject.
I made a diffuser for the flash out of some heavy watercolor paper the nigh before. Ill have to take pics of the diffuser, it is very ghetto looking. Im sure the other photographers thought I was nuts.

Just thought I'd say I love this thread sooo much! It has got me through a lot of slow night shifts. Thanks everyone!
EDIT: Does not seem right without a picture, so
^ That's how I got Godzilla home ^
Dealing with RHD and cross province in Canada is a major pain in the ***!

They're probably shy and have low self-esteem. Score.
That settles it, I'm going to start attending cons. Hell, I live 20 minutes from San Diego, and we have the biggest geek-convention in the known universe here. I've been to the last two w00tstocks, but never the main event.

Hahaha.
When I lived in Mississauga I think my subs and amp lasted me about 3 weeks before someone smashed my window, stole it and vandalised the **** out of my car. They tried to crow bar my trunk 14 times before realising that it was not going to budge, then tried to crow bar all the doors before finally smashing one of the windows and hitting the trunk release.
Used amp and two 10 inch subs: $200
Speaker box: $100
Body and paint shop: $2200
3 weeks of hearing damage total: $2500
No insurance for any of that.
I've lived in Oakville since 2003 and have left my windows down overnight on more then one occasion without anything ever going missing. It is lame as **** over here and even more so ever since the old Sharkey's closed down, I'll give you that. Was a great place to buy when I was looking for a house and as an added bonus if I forget to close my garage at night my GTR all my tools will still be there
