Also, they may have agreements with FM that they charge the same amount if people try and go direct.
Nah.

I spent about $2500 on FM upgrades for my MSM and other random stuff over the years. They would always answer the phone when I called, but the unenthusiastic support I got wasn't worth the huge markup I submitted to... actually they never solved a problem for me, even with multiple calls.

I haven't sworn them off completely, but I'm certainly not part of the Cult of FM anymore.

FM would be rad if any two of the following were true:

1) Their prices were good
2) They had interesting/good stuff other people didn't have
3) They didn't have interweb fanboyz
4) They didn't sell the Link ECU or Hydra Nemesis

unfortunately the turbo-spec miata class guys are all FM fanboys. I was talking to a guy about his build, and I told him I had MS. He responded with, "well, the car isn't tuned yet, but I can take the data log out and tune it in the trailer."

Apparently people think non-FM parts are medieval alchemy. He also thought the bell kit was inferior and a bunch of other stupid **** that I don't remember. However, 300+whp in a <2100lb car really did more around that track.

FM would make more money off me if their prices were reasonable. I've purchased a few things from them, but only because no one else made them or had them readily available.
