Also, lolz omg awesome on that car making 300+ whp from 3000-7000 rpm.
How long will his trans last with that rush of 400 ft-lbs of torque? That's the one thing I worry about, transmission longevity.
I'll have to look up to see how expensive flights from Sacremento to Columbus are...probably similar to the price of a "pro" e-tune...
STI turbo, big injectors, etc. are further down the road. P.S. Where did you buy your GM 3-port from? I'm already maxing out the capability of the stock solenoid and I'm not making much more boost than stock.

I know nothing about Focus'
MS3 is AWESOME. Friend has one. basic bolt ons and tune he's at like 270/330....its jam-packed with tons of cool techy features, gets high 20's low 30's mpg......the ONLY downside that I know of is the Fail wheel drive.

his trans will die soon. I told him that yesterday right after the dyno plot.
got all my 3ports from nazicock

Are you worried about the trans in your car? If I remember correctly you have bigger turbo that doesn't have as big of a rush of torque, but also doesn't drop off like an STI turbo. My understanding is that it isn't torque that breaks the gears, it's the quick gobs of torque at 3000rpm that breaks gears.

11-12 is much quieter, comfy, and more luxury oriented. Also looks fantastic imo. but WAYYY more 'spensive.

FWD doesn't bother me too much, rather that than RWD if my wife might have to drive it from time to time. At least it has a torsen.
Focus ST is the same FWD with limited slip, but it's been designed to "feel" like a rwd car when driven hard.
both the ms3 and focus st are priced at 24K, the WRX is 25.5K -- where the extra cost is soley due to the AWD and the problem being, I'd be happy with a base ms3 or ST, but not a base WRX.
focus is supossed to be something like 25-30city and maybe 35-40hwy, which is kinda a bonus, plus all the cool VVT stuff and direct injection, ECO boost crap so i can actually run on 87 octane and its rated at 252 hp and 270 lb-ft.
The ST was one of the only cars I liked when I went to the auto show this year. Well just have to see what the used market is like come winter when I think I'll be getting something new.
the problem I'm having with the WRX hatch, is that for the same price you can get a much newer/low mileage MS3....so to save nearly 5K you gotta drop the AWD. dunno what ill do.

I'm not really worried to be honest. I ran RA gears in my 07 when I blew up the stocker, and they are identical to FXT gears. That car made 420. The 4.44 fd REALLY helps keep it together. I'm at 370/370 right now and daily drive it, no problems.
Although I do drive it very carefully, only launched it like 2 times, and pretty much baby it 90% of the time.
In 5th gear it started overpowering the clutch when I switched to e85. So that's on its way out :(

Between the 4.44 fd, slightly smaller overall diameter wheel/tire + babying it hopefully I won't ever be changing a trans.

This guy tuned it, he's well known around here: http://camtuning.com
I believe its a dynojet dyno, and it was definately corrected for altitude (was dyno'd at 5500ft).
Anyways NOT 280, I said 260.. and even that was wrong apparently. Just talked to the guy and it was 250whp/345ftlb
No offense taken, either way
And that's just his DD, the same guy tuned his "real" car. 03 wrx wagon, Built hybrid, 264 cams, Dominator 4.0, ppg gears, E85.
Ended up running a best of 11.30's at 125 or something before he blew his second (built) trans on it. Now it sits, lol.
