Now why would someone go and put something in a moving compressor...I really don't see anything I'd worry about.

 

The wheel looks fine to me. If you're concerned about those notches in the base of it, I believe those are from balancing the assembly. Make sure to line it up where it was!

If my turbo had looked like that when I opened it, I would have been thrilled. So now I have another coming, and hopefully combined, I can piece a full turbo together.
