Well I didn't open the file and I do agree that it is fucked up to be using that high of a correction factor but I do give them one credit, at least they are admitting that they used the same correction for each car so one could find the uncorrected for both the MSM(stock turbo) and the FM2 MSM and see what the real gain was.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but for the nearly $5000 they charge for all that **** I'd be ******* pissed with a 20% CF that my car only made 291rwhp. At the end of a motor build, complete turbo system, EMS, the whole nine yards at the rate I'm at will be under 5k total investment and would sure the hell hope I dyno more than that.

I'm also really surprised they haven't had more furious customers with those kind of CFs...

Because generally the people who can afford that type of turn-key solution don't understand what it is they're really getting. Knowledge is $$, so you either have it or you buy it.

It's probably an honest 250-260 whp car. Nothing to be slighted by any means, and assuredly with some 3.63s in the *** it will be a fun ride. But there's no way in Hades it's going to pump out 291 whp at atmo + 12 psi.

When I have a few minutes I'm going to examine this MSM curve vs a 99-00 FMII-H curve (both with 0 CF) to maybe see if the MSM cams are worthwhile.

If I tuned it and drove it,
Personally, that is the scariest part.

At the last open house I was at, I watched him drive his car off the road and get stuck in the mud (not to mention the damage done to the car). Bill told him not do something and his EGO could not take it. So.....hopefully his driving skills have improved. I got a good laugh out of that!

Wow.. So picking up a book is really that hard?? God forbid someone with money growing out of their *** would actually do some work for once.

I'd like to know what you find in your research about the MSM cams. Also might see if you can find a similar setup car with the 265 cams too.

Corky's work speaks for himself, he doesn't need some crappy *** dyno you can't even drive a car onto along with over inflated "results" to sell his equipment.

A good friend of mine has been building and selling high performance sport bikes for 40 years now without a dyno.

Take it with a grain of salt, Steph.

you know, FM hating is funny. i haven't bought much from them, but i'm pretty sure they're making enough money to not give a ****, and that's the bottom line

As I told you on the other forum, I'm not a professional you are. Also as I stated on the other forum, most shops here don't publicly bad mouth each other but you seem to enjoy it. Shake your head all you want, you like to toss fuel on the fire and that's BS from another so called professional.

I think when you post stuff that is clearly incorrect about BEGi (like saying they can't afford a dyno.) BEGi has a close relationship with an independent dyno shop, so why should they purchase a dyno?

What I find funny is that people like you will insult Stephanie but would never write something like that to Corky. So tell me, why is that? Is it because it's the only way you can feel good about your relationships with women?

Mark

PS - Last I checked BEGi has it's own airstrip and FM doesn't.

Steph, could you please post a link for those (like myself) who are unconscious to the MSM forum.

A good load bearing dyno starts at about $45k. What people don't understand is that the shop doesn't pay for the dyno; its customers do. Why ask for things that unnecessarily add cost to the end user?

Why don't we take a little collection to send to the owner of this MSM to dyno close to his house. If no one else wants in, I'll pay in full up to $75, if the car is run at 12 psi over atmo.

Well... reading the comments on that forum shows the length people will go to justify magic numbers. Correction factor is stupid. All it does is justify for "Optimal Conditions." Well FM's shop is 4700 feel above sea level. Sucks to be them. Their dyno isn't going to lie, they should keep it uncorrected. Because that is the power the car put down. If they want a ******* sea level number then they should drive the car to a ******* dyno at sea level. I don't even want to know what the temp was when the pull was conducted either. That also can be of some help. **** Keith, and **** his fanboy, post the real ******* numbers because that is what the cars are pulling. Come to florida and I will pay for your dyno time if you can post those numbers. **** I will pay for your gas here too.

The correction numbers should actually be pretty accurate for N/A and SC cars, assuming things like the fuel system can handle the extra volume, etc. For a TC car, as Mark stated sometime earlier, the CF should be about half of what they use.

I'm a little skeptical of 291 RWHP at 12 PSI on a stock motor myself. I don't have any data to disprove their claim, and I personally know that low boost on the right motor can make really great power. I also think that 2 octane points will allow you to do some incredible stuff on the dyno, TX gas works VERY well.
