Look into the HD3200. That's what I use and I love it. 4 voltage settings and infinite feed adjustment. All you'll need for exhaust and light framing. I can weld 1/4 with it in one pass but it won't burn through it.

EDIT - nvm. I guess they don't make it anymore. =(

I'm looking for a cheap entry welder. I do not plan on keeping one for 25 years. I have never welded before. I have this avialable locally to me for $200CDN. Anyone have experience with CH welders? Will I be able to weld up an exhaust with this or will it just end up looking like crap? I cannot really justify spending $1500 on something that I will use 3 to 4 times per year.

Welding pipe is difficult even with experience. You should buy a touch start tig welder for exhaust pipe. Mig and stick welding on pipe are more difficult and will look awful if you have never tried it.
