I got 19-20 on solid city driving. Highway cruise would get 26-27ish depending on speed.

The G25 idea was a terrible one. That's not nearly enough motor for the chassis.

Now a 250Z twin turbo? Hmmmm.

My contention is perhaps with the inception fee, its the same for 24 or 36 mon and that sucks when you do the math. But, I have a 36 mon lease now and I want to get rid of the car today. To think I have another year on it is pissing me off. However, I did get "the letter" from the dealer, so if I can work something out I may get something else.

 

More of just a general comment on leases. I suppose with a lease, if the monthly payment is the same than the shortest term is more desirable. In a longer lease (say 48 months), paying $299/mo for a brand new car might seem like a deal - but is $299/mo for a 4 year old car equally as enticing?

Personally, I'm a "buy a fully depreciated car, pay cash/no loan, drive it for a few years then sell it for what you paid for it" kind of guy. So, outside of consumables, gas, and insurance my cars are pretty much free. I wouldn't lease because it is the exact opposite of that.

I can see the appeal of a lease though, especially if you don't want to worry about maintenance and/or don't have the patience to go through the pains of buying a used car.

If you are dead set on leasing, though, I think the G37 is a great option.

Good points and you hit the reasons why I am done with buying used for now. I also want a really nice new car for once in my life.

To speak to your first point, the lease is more expensive when its a longer term because the residual is lower. But then you have to factor in the inception fees that you would have to pay sooner in a 2yr lease vs a 3yr if one is leasing another car.

Its a wash in the end really. I also have the option to extend the lease if I choose at the end of 2 years.

 

They're very nice cars. Sharp styling, roomy interior, and leather/wood everywhere. And the motor goes like a tank too.

 

driven my friend's, really like how comfortable it felt inside.
looks alright, not a fan of the nissan v6 sound, but terrible mileage but what do u expect from a car like this.

 

I have a G35 6mt coupe with sport package. I love it. Test drove a G37 coupe and it's much more refined. Great motor. While Infinity is not as refined as BMW, I think day to day it's just as much fun to drive. I get G37 sedans as loaners from my dealer when mine is in for service, and while the drivetrain is great, it loses some of the fun of the sport package coupe.

My recommendation is go for the sport package. All in all I think Infinity makes a great DD. I've had several BMW's and Porsche's as DD's, and I think the Infinity is absolutely the best value.

I went ahead and picked one up yesterday. Ill take a picture of the car once the skies clear up. The ride home left me extremely impressed. Thanks for all the feedback guys, you made the decision a lot easier.

Now I just need to figure out how to drive it smooth. The clutch grab is really high and its just not clicking.

 

Make sure the pedal free play adjustment isn't such that it's effectively slightly pressed even when your foot is not on it. That would cause slippage and wear on the release bearing. It could also mean the clutch is close to worn out.

 

On a car with less than 150 miles?

but that's a small downside to so many up sides

It's weird and inconsistent, you'll get used to it.
