What military branch could aid my career best?

Well, I guess the other point I was trying to make is that you will mature with military service and come to a better understanding of yourself vis-a-vis the world. Right now, your focus is almost completely on yourself. That's not a dis, it's normal. I think most of the veterans here would admit the same thing. This normally changes with the years, but the military will beat it out of you early.
I know very few veterans who regret their service. It is life altering to be part of something so much bigger than self. Personally, I think military service needs to be a prerequisite for being President or being in Congress. Things were better when those institutions were filled with WWII veterans.
So, even if you can't get EXACTLY what you want, I would still encourage it. Very few of us get EXACTLY what we want out of life, but then later find out that we're glad that we didn't. It's a journey. You'll enjoy it a lot more if you focus on others.
