Its really nowhere near as bad as some make it seem.

Don't get me wrong: there are stupid laws and plenty of other retardation, but the pros more than outweigh the cons. For most people anyway.

My wife lived in Lincoln, NE and Harrisonburg, VA for majority of her life and moved here about 5 years ago.

She says she'd rather kill herself, or even worse: get with Faeflora, than move back to either of those places.

DC area is indeed awesome if you are into good food, arts, and a high cost of living.

DC area does also have a higher average IQ than all of FL, probably for the above reasons.

Tennessee and Texas > all. I prefer the Appalachain mountains. Chill attitude of mountain hippys in Asheville, Rednecks such as myself in East Tennessee, wonderful roads connecting both.
