Damn, glad he made it through that. That happened at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. At the last track day I attended I would come around that same bend at 140+, don't think I would have been as fortunate if I had lost it.

 

First time I saw that I thought the driver was dead. It is incredible...

I think I read somewhere that the car didnt have a cage or a bar? I could be wrong though. I know Subies are tough cars, my best friend had an 06 WRX that he flipped down a twisty by Mt. Diablo. Car rolled 5 times and landed on its lid, he got out just fine. Although he had a helluva time climbing back up to the road. Especially in the rain. So he bought another 06 WRX.

I used to wear arm restraints when I did track events in my Miata when it was open top. Solo I was what got me started with them since it was mandatory.

Thought so, there are some ripples towards the outside of the turn that can really **** you up... friend of mine went off there at about 170 in a GT1 Corvette. Stuck a small tree right up through the floor of the car.
