talked to Microsoft, they can kiss my ***. My 360 is out of warranty, and they claim there is no 3 year extended warranty due to 3 RROD.

So time to open it up and see what damage I can do to it.

There is. Did you try using the online repair center instead of talking to some brainless moron working customer service? Microsoft automated the process at this web site:

Bought my PS3 the day it came out. My buddy bought his 360 at the same time. 3 consoles later and about the same amount I initially payed, he has a working 360. If you factor in the cost of what it cost him to buy a blueray player and other bundled accessories, hes in over 300$ more than me.
