Probably not. Hell, sportsmans guide won't even ship knives here anymore.

Ship repair parts for black windowless pmags to new york. You can ship bodies, springs, floor plates, and followers...

Just tell him that you can't be held liable for what he does with those items.

It's official... nobody is interested in paying more than retail. You know how I know... because of this:
C Products Defense 30rd Aluminum Magazine - 10 Pack

HOLY SHIT! I'm pretty sure that's below pre-panic... they've been in stock for a few days now. C-Products are good-to-go if you're into metal mags. PSA can kinda be used as a benchmark for how the industry in general is fairing. It's also another sign that that everybody who wants mags already has them.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing tons more deals like this for all types of parts. I'd love to pick up some PSA LPK's for like $45.

Testing and possibly picking this up:
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1368325589

It's a modified Auto Ordnance (questionable quality/reliability) 1911 Competition model. Things I have noticed from the picture that the seller hasn't (bought in a batch to resell), Comp isn't original, sight has been moved to comp, rear sight has been replaced, trigger isn't original + trigger job that was mentioned, slide has been de-seratted and its been reblued (i think).

Hoping its simply had allll the kinks worked out so I can get my first .45

damn, thats pretty cool! has the seller mentioned anything about how it shoots? i know you said he bought them in a batch, but im curious if it was done by a gunsmith or not. looks pretty sharp. if you go with it, are you getting a good deal?

rleete 05-12-2013 05:00 PM

De-serrated would be a deal killer for me.

As it is only going to be for range time the serrations not being there did not get in the way today.

It was a tack driver and ran like a well oiled machine. First magazine shot put round touching round without trying. At full range length (25yds) and not trying for absolute accuracy it put all within a 6" radius.

It was a steal imo, excellent trigger, super tight frame fitment, smooth action and most parts are aftermarket. Smith for the work and history unknown, but it came home with me.

Just iinstalled a set of JP Enterprise trigger springs on my AR a little bit ago. Gotta say I am impressed! The factory trigger is alredy quitesmooth but typically very heavy. Pull weight has been reduced to about 4.5 lbs. now just gotta get it to the range and check for reliability. $11.00 well spent!

My Tech-Sights came for the Marlin 75C. Installed in a snap and set to mechanical zero, can't wait to go shoot this thing! Maybe in a couple weeks...

Next project is to strip down that poor rifle and refinish with bake on GunKote.

Edit: Because I'm working late...

Did you get the springs rated for 3.5# or 4.5# (I realize you said the trigger pull is around 4.5# now, just wanted to be sure)? I've seen a fair number of people complaining of FTF with hard primers with the 3.5# springs.

They are the heavier set.

It seems those little gun safes that you can buy anywhere for $50-200 aren't so safe.

Unsafe Gun Safes Can Be Opened By A Three-Year Old - Forbes

If you guys have any recomendations let me know, we're in the market for a quick access nightstand safe that will keep kids out.

Scrappy Jack 05-15-2013 06:55 AM

When I was looking at pistol safes, Ft. Knox was supposed to be considered a heavier duty, better (more expensive) brand.

You want more? Marc Weber Tobias, the author of that Forbes article, does a talk every year at DefCON and several other cons about insecurity, gun safes in particular. Look him up, or his group Security Labs, its worth the time.

And yes, there are LOTS more

That's total win. But yes I do have an idea ;)
Some random guy I sat next to one morning last year at my fist ever DefCON got me hooked. It's rather surprising and concerning just how easy it is to pick most Master Locks. One of my buddies picked this hobby up many years ago and has a nice collection of random locks including some high security ones that are very difficult to open, I opened all of them at least once, but I picked a high security Master up from HD Motorsports for ~$15 that nobody has been able to open. It was hand picked based on the key to try and get one that was difficult - I left it locked into the package with the plan to return it if it was easy to pick. Packaging went in the trash a week later after cutting the keys out and unlocking it to make sure it worked.

It's really a good thing criminals are stupid and don't know how easy it is to pick key locks.

Back on topic...I picked up a new holster a couple weeks ago from Old Faithful for my FNS40. It's really amazing what a quality holster can do for concealment, even a big gun can disappear and be comfortable under a t-shirt. It's your standard hybrid leather/kydex holster but they offer it in kit form at a much cheaper price. The adventurous can mold their own Kydex and punch some holes in leather, or for $10 more they'll do that for you and ship everything ready for assembly. Molding Kydex looked pretty easy, and fun, but for $10 I opted to have them do it and paid $43 shipped for a fantastic holster. Took just over 3 weeks from order date till it was delivered to my door and another 30 minutes putting it together and tweaking fitment. If you're looking for a good ccw holster check them out, a quick google will get you a 20% off code as well.

Checked Gunbot this morning and saw something I haven't seen in months... .22lr at retail price in stock online at a major retailer for several hours.

GunBot find 22lr ammo in stock

Just on principle, I bought 1500rds (one 500pk of Golden Bullet, and one 1000pk of Winchester M22) for $85 shipped. That's really as good as it gets right now. Cabelas is still enforcing their 1boxatatime rule.

My buddy from a Florida company txt'd me a while ago asking if I wanted a couple more BCG's when he comes to visit. This prompted me to disassemble the one I had and check it out:

Overexposed the pictures a little to get a good shot of the surface condition. The color of this is actually a more pure nickle color but the shitty incandescent lighting in my dining room is why it's discolored.

Total round estimation: ~2000 rounds of TulAmmo. Has never been disassembled, cleaned, oiled, or even wiped down. Runs like a champ!
