Well now this just ******* figures...

Got into Gainesville yesterday, and while unloading the truck I slipped off the deck and broke my left foot. Fracture of the fifth metatarsal- the so called Jones Fracture. My foot is swollen all to ****, and I can't put any weight on it at all even with this fancy boot they put on. Do you know how much it sucks to drive a Miata with something the size of a snowshoe on your swollen and tender left foot? Gonna be clutchless shifting for a while...

Joe, been there, done that. Sucks to the max, but there's nothing to do for it but give it time. Don't push it too much, of it will never heal right, and you're likely to go through it all again. My sympathies.
