Reservation made for 30 people at 8:30. They said they'll try to get us in earlier if possible, so let's all plan to be there by 8:15.

I'm in, wherever we're going. And where is that exactly? Just me and my helmet this time, I'm flying in Friday / out Sunday night as work needs prohibit taking a week for a leisurely drive down and back.

More cat herding... my day on Friday is flexible because I live here and I don't work in an office, so I'm good with anything. For those who are coming early enough to do a cruise on Friday, What are your time constraints? Figure 2-3 hours depending on how far we go. The sun sets at 6:40.

Option 1: leave the track at 4:30 or 5. Drive down Carmel Valley and Cachagua, come back via the valley just west of 101. The best part would be in daylight driving away from the sun. The last segment would be in the dark, but it gets us to Ellie's around 8 or 8:15.

Option 2: Leave much earlier (after lunch or something?) and do the Cachagua loop Turbofan posted earlier, and get back to the track around 4 or 5.

Option 3: ???

I would totally be a passenger for that. I'll be at the track from roughly 2ish onwards.

FYI, There is a guy I know who has a Sunday C spot that he is trying to swap with someone in either B or D spot.

If this makes sense for anyone, they can let me know and I’ll put you in touch.

I like option 2. Have lunch near the track, wait for Richard to arrive, go on the drive, then back to the track area to set up camp and wait for more arrivals.

There is also someone who has a Group A spot on Sunday that can’t make it and is willing to take $200

You would think with the rush of signups and long waiting lists there would be plenty of extra people clamoring to fill these spots.

you could offer it on the for sale page. Also the trackable Miata Facebook page.

I'm confused. Why so opposed to C? Dual driving a car?

I expect that it's hard to sell right before the event because most people have made plans one way or the other by now and it's just not feasible to go on short notice/spend the money.

I'd totally pick up a cheap Saturday spot but I can't drive the whole day due to responsibilities.

Two cousins sharing and Exocet and for some reason both signing up for C on Sunday 🤣. I’m going to assume buy mistake. I think Rick offered to take one of the days back but they wanted to hold on and swap it.

Sounds like I've got rod knock. Anyone need a B group spot on either day?

Nigel, if you can’t sell your B spot and the Track Rat is still running well, there is the possibility of borrowing it when my friend isn’t driving in C. I’ll PM you my number.

Gordon, I think I have all the parts for my EFR build but you me and Geoff should talk so I can remember any of the things I’m sure I have forgotten that you probably have.

Where are we meeting for the drive, and who all is still going? I'll be ready to go at about 1:30.

Glad I finally made it to one of these dinners even if didn’t include anti-vaxers and other mayhem.

Maybe we were sitting at the wrong end of the table for conspiracy theories.

Thanks guys, that was a great time! Quite a few of us were driving non-turbo’ed cars this year but while the horse power was down the fun was still there.

The Exocet was perfectly reliable and except for a bent rim from an impact on the turn 6 curb, made it through the event unscathed.

The Track Rat also proved to be a reliable beast for a $350 255K car put together with hand me down parts. 3 drivers over the course of 2 days and 2 1/2 tanks of gas.

The Track Rat in all it’s glory!

A flock of Exocets.
