0-60kph makes me laugh, mostly because 60kph is only 37mph. Which is like nothing.

 

I realize that they want the episode to be interesting, which means they gotta even out the competition as much as possible to appease both sides of the fence, cause the thupercharger people are whiney as is but still, at least do 1 real pull in 2nd or 3rd

 

They rented a facility that was too small for the kinds of tests they should have been doing. And then they did power and acceleration tests in the rain.

And then, rather than be scientific in the least, they did only a few circuits in each car with different drivers. I don't know what the autocross community is like in Australia, but I would have preferred a single experienced driver to race both cars over the course of a full day over the same course. To take two guys who aren't especially good drivers and ask them to do what is essentially an autocross twice or three times in different cars is not going to get you good data.

Btw, 37mph never leaves first gear if you rev to 7,500 and are running 3.6 gears (which I imagine is the gear ratio on Australian NBs?).

Whatever... I know how my car drives and I won't switch based on what some youtube video says. I don't look forward to the new members joining that will be all about that MCM supercharger love though.

And I still don't understand the down under timeslips, what the hell is 1264'? Shouldn't they be racing a half K or something. They probably still run 1/4 miles 'cus of that old greased lightning song, knowing my Aussie friends.

on the roll races, the turbo car quickly pulls away in each test. Every time. and then "I'm gonna give the supercharger the win."

Just dumb. To the point where i'm not really entertained anymore.

 

I actually liked the first 3 videos. This one was so ridiculous that it basically ruined the entire series. The tests were so bad that it was either designed specifically to keep the supercharger looking competitive or they are just entirely incompetent. Either way it was so dumb. They did a lot to try and control so many variables with the building of the cars and then they just threw it all out the window with the real world tests.

 

Same. I enjoyed the first 3 and this one I couldn't even finish watching.

 

This is exactly what I expected.

This is an entertainment channel and they work just like a book keeper does, the betting odds arent really the odds, the betting odds are chosen to get the most people betting.
Here the tests and results arent the best and most accurate tests, they are designed to get the most people arguing online and hyping the episode.
This is why every step of the way they have tried to pretend each car is even but in different ways, and that those ways happen to be the ways people already believe, so that people can argue online about it.

We all know that the turbo car is superior in every way here, despite being intentionally turnwed right down to help the blower, but thats not the point, the point is to get millions of youtube views and a discovery channel contract, which they have achieved.

And for me to get 2 million more people see my work..
