I had a KA24DE-T in an S13 coupe back before it was cool to turbo KA24s. Actually ka-t.org has a few Altima builds.

My KA24 was completely stock plus the s13 T25 turbo. Jeez, you think that turbo is small on a miata 1.6/1.8, imagine how silly it is on a 2.4. Supercharger like powerband....uhhhh...minus the SC top-end?

Sold that car for way too much (it was pretty clean) to fund my turbo miata project. Turbo miata was superior in basically every way (minus rear seat capacity, and trunk size...)

I should have worded that better. What I was trying to convey is that the power band wasn't what I expected. I was expecting the traditional "nothing, nothing, nothing, 6,000rpm, BOOST!" but it was actually really snappy. I guess that's the 2.4 and the .63 a/r turbine working together. I'm sure with some better tires (he's on 205's for ***** sake) and a real diff it will be able to actually use 1-4 and not just have 5th and 6th rape gears.

And yeah, you're right about needing 3 lanes. This thing skated like it was on ice.

I've spent a good amount of time reading KA-T. I have been seriously considering turbo'ing my frontier because it is completely gutless on the road. I was shocked at how easy it is to extract 50% more power from the KA24de.

It's so tempting because I have a 5spd and I know it could be done for cheap....****

I was always impressed with the torque those KAs put out. If that whole scene wasn't the most retarded homo dorifto fest in the universe with 99.99% of them beat to crap, I'd probably do one up too......

But Frontier - that would be pretty cool.
