Default 1990 from NC

whats up guys my name is austin, i bought my 1990 miata 1 year ago from the original owner it had 86k on the clock and the car was bone stock with a hardtop, i paid $1250 if anyone is curious. I haven't been able to do to much to the car but i did swap a rebuilt 94 1.8 into about a month after owning the car, only other mods so far are flying miata track coils and 15x9 advanti wheels wrapped in 225/45/15 bfg rivals

(decided to introduce myself since i was sitting at my girlfriends dorm bored out of my mind lol)

Welcome to the forum, Austin. You did well on the price.

I haven't seen a 1.8 using an AFM before. I guess it would work fine if the 1.8 had 1.8 injectors still in it.

What are your goals with the car?

Thanks and yea I did get a really good price!! And it is just temporary but works fine for now, and plans for now are to get in switched over to megasquirt and turbo the stock 1.8 for some more power but nothing to crazy that the stock motor couldn't handle. In the process of getting everything to turbo the car

Goals are to just have a fun street car, I autocrossed about 3-4 times with the 1.6 but after swapping the 1.8 put me into csp class witch neither me or my car was ready to compete in lol

It's about having fun.

And you shouldn't have told them, lol.

Pick up a Megasquirt and you can ditch the AFM and make a few other changes for more horses. Learn to tune it so you will be ready for the turbo.
