Default Allow myself to introduce myself

I'm Kraig Klippel, born and raised in San Jose, CA but moved out to Durham NC for work. I bought my second 1994 Miata (the first one was an R-Package that both seller and I had no idea, so I sold it to an E-Stock guy from Colorado) back in 08. I promptly built it for STS (STS2 at the time) I'm now reducing my Autocross budget and selling off a bunch of things. I'll be keeping the Miata as a Daily driver and looking into my next project. Lots of great info here, love the site.

Welcome! How long have you been in NC? I'm down in Charlotte but maybe I will see you at an autox or track event sometime.

Moved out here in September 2012. I've been to zMAX for Central Carolina SCCA Autox. Here is my car.

Awesome, I will have to try and make it out to a couple of autox there!

It looks as if I will not be coming out to autocross anytime soon as I've decided to retire. This being said, I am entertaining the idea of slapping a turbo on it, but I've got to sell off stuff and pay for bills before I can justify playing with my toys.

That looks awesome. Is it paint or vinyl? or a combination of the 2?

I read the thread preview and I was coming in here to convince you to not build an SSM car. Thankfully I dont have to do that.

Love the 787-ish paint scheme.
Welcome to the forum.

Do you own a cat? Not that one could truly ever own a cat, but do you live with a cat?

Yes, I painted the Atamic Orange, British Racing Green, and the Matalic Black. I then cut out strips of white vinyl for the stripe.

If I were to do it again, I would do the whole thing in vinyl, costs less.

If you have ever done an event in south Georgia, then I have seen this car. If not, then someone else has also done this livery on their miata. Looks good.

Hi Kraig, love the look of your car. I do enjoy auto crossing. I hill climb with the NHA sometimes. Welcome!

I don't think he meant that kind of cat. . . or the vertical stripe kind either.

I've seen that car before! Pretty sure I road in it at Darlington a year or so ago.
