Default Day 1 Noob

Hey, I'm Kody and I own a Miata. It is a cherry 2002 5 speed car that I bought from an old man that's had it since it left the factory. It is currently a stocker with 125k very easy miles on it with a brand new soft top (thanks to thieving ********) and some halo headlights. I have big plans for the car, but am currently in the hunting, pricing, and saving phase of the build. My current power goal is just a modest 250whp . I'm looking forward to learning all kinds of stuff on this website and also asking for advice and opinions while I go through the build process. Here's some pictures:

They're sitting in my buddy's garage. I wanted some black housing halos, so I swapped out the stockers.

I would be willing to buy your stock headlights if you are looking to sell them for a reasonable price, that is, if all of the mounting tabs aren't broken off.

What are your plans for getting to 250HP?

Hopefully, it doesn't involve ebay

I'm willing to sell them. None of the mounting tabs are broken. They're in great shape but could use a light buff to remove the little bit of oxidation as they did come off an 02. PM me if you want to make an offer on them.

As for the power goal, I'm going turbo and nothing will be coming from eBay. Right now I'm trying to decide between the FMll or the Begi S3 both without electronics as I'm working out something with Rev for a Basic MS3, although I'm considering going enhanced as I would like the wideband integration.

I did actually decide on the Begi kit. I'm looking to buy in the next few days but I guess they've got about a 2 week lead time on the kit :-/

If anything needs to be welded expect months rather than weeks. I ordered my S6 kit in March... last parts should arrive next Monday.

Unfortunately that does seem to be quite accurate. They've been keeping good communication with me, but it does look like it's going to take quite a long time. I was quoted 7-8 weeks for the kit.

I was quoted 3 to 6 weeks and it took 4 and a half months. Don't count on getting this kit before Christmas.

You could not have been more correct. It was February before I had everything for my kit. The down time gave me plenty of opportunity to search out all of the additional supporting mods that I needed and the time to save up for the purchases. I got everything thrown in, in a couple weekends and got it back on the road for some old fashioned butt-dyno tuning. When I get back from deployment, I'll throw some pictures of the build up on this post and share the wealth with the Miata Gallery.

For inquiring minds about the progress of my build and some feedback/review comments on the BEGI Alpha Omega kit, please find my build thread below.
