haha

the only problem is my dad wont help me put the engine in until i get everything for the FE-DOHC and all i am missing as of right now is the manifold that i am searching for. i don't have any recent pics but i do have some older ones when it was still running under it's own rotary power.

Hmm sounds like an interesting build. I like the 4 cylinder swap into the rx7.

I am glad you are not from Florida.

yeah if you go on mx6.com in the FE-DOHC section there is alot of interesting info on there and alot of other people that have experimented on different idea's i chose the FE because i want to keep it mazda and make it unique alot of people have no idea that mazda basically made a 4g63 as well but it came with smaller ports and forged internals. so just to show them other guys out there that mazda is simply amazing! maybe convert others over from playing with all these other toys and step into a "real" car.

Now the next question is "Does it actually run?".

it did until the apex seals went out on it and it's 1500.00 for the rebuild kit (only parts) and so i went the cheaper/more reliable route until i can afford to build a 20b turbo (3 rotor) with a decent port job.

GO noob go!

I'm all for the FE turbo swap into the FD. I also like your idea of getting the **** manifold just as a template to build your own. I KNOW that you won't be tempted to actually use it.

**** 1500 for a rebuild kit. Here i thought mazda would make a regular wear and tear and fairly often replace part cheaper.

yeah the 1500 is just for the master rebuild kit from pineapple racing, atkins is good and all but i've heard stories, where as pineapple seals are re-useable and guaranteed. as soon as you crack into the rotary engine case, you have to replace all the seals, unless you want to keep wasting money by rebuilding it over and over again.
