I hear the aircooled vw flat 4 is where it is at these days. The engine sits lower int the bay for a lower center of gravity, you don't need a radiator so you can remove the weight of the water and radiator and give yourself some more room. And modified the flat 4 can produce more power than a stock 1.6 miata motor does. It's like the subaru swapped miata only better.

Come on guys...stop messing around...a hemi works for that model. The LS7 only works in a Honda Fit and the VW stuff is for Chinese cars. I’ve built hundreds of them. Pretty sure that 2geeJay stuff is fiction too. On top of that, the earth is round so that flat crap is out of Star Wars movies. Gonna cancel my subscription if you keep this up. BTW, I’m thinking of swapping my BP4W for a 1.6. Can you point me to good eBay site for the high quality parts? Planning for 1200 HP at the steering wheel.

Hey, I heard somebody stuffed a ferrari engine in a brz, will it fit in my miata? I already have ferrari bolts in my engine, might as well go all the way.

Anyone know if a '97 Miata engine would fit?
