Noob to boost and on a fact finding mission
Hi all,
My name is Brian and I picked up a red 95 miata with 50k miles a few months ago. I absolutely love the car and I've been doing some mods/autocross/learning ect.
Right now the car has some chassis bracing, brake lines and exhaust. I want to turbo but I want to keep it as a reliable daily driver. Next on the list of mods are seats and harnesses, gauges (water and oil temp and oil press) and then I'll begin the road to forced induction.
Miata people have been great so far so don't let me down!

The safety gear is a work in progress. HPDE is a ways off, partly because I know my safety gear is a ways off too. I have a lot research to do before making purchases and lots of learning to do with autocross before stepping up to HPDE.

The way to properly turbo your miata is.
1. Install a standalone ecu and wideband O2 controller, learn to tune on the stock motor.
2. Install larger injectors and retune fuel.
3. Install a stronger clutch, FM or ACT are the only 2 brands you should consider.
4. Install turbo. Retune for positive pressure.
5. Profit.

2. Install larger injectors and retune fuel.
3. Pull motor, and install a stronger clutch, FM or ACT are the only 2 brands you should consider. Tap the oil pan while the motor is out, and cap off the 3/8NPT fitting.
4. Install turbo. Retune for positive pressure.
