it was ok....marginally due to your screen name having words that identify you with 90% of people who we completely write off as retards: "slide"

I hope you're not a "drifter"....YOu won't do well here....at all

and then there's what sealed your fate:

I see well I do come from a drifting background, but I feel that making my miata straight line fast is worth more effort! As far as the mani goes I am on a tight budget and decided that a start is a start. Although I do one day hope to upgrade to nicer equipment! For now I am trying to peice togeather something usable to get a start.

you will absolutely, positively, without a doubt fail.

I'm completely serious and not even a little bit sarcastic.

a start is not a start. there is a proper start and there is a 100% sure thing fail start. you are choosing the latter. there are whole sections of threads about that manifold and downpipe you're about to attempt to use.

Here's the best suggestion you will get that your d0r!fto friends are too stupid to tell you: if you don't have money to properly boost the car, don't boost it.

good luck

ps: in case you still don't pick up on what I'm saying - that manifold will crack in a week at best.

We would consider your mod list to be a bit Ricey. Not exactly well received here. We would be glad to help you make your car perform well, but you might want to tone down the Clubroadster rhetoric.

Anyways, welcome to the site. You are at the right place if you want to mod your car correctly and economically.

Thank you guys for the info! I am going to check out the reviews, and try to make a more concious decision that meets my budget. I was unawear of the above issues. I have spent a majority of my time on the site trying to reasearch the mspnp unit I planned on purchessing eventually.

well that's good. at least you're already aware of MS being the way instead of band AIDZ

there is hope for you yet

if you can return the mani/dp to the sleazeball egay vendor you bought it from, that would be a really good thing for you

there are plenty of budget oriented setups you can run on your car, but an ebay "kit" isn't one of them

I'm more scared about the "roll bar". Please give us more info/mounting points/etc...

Ok I re-read the original post. THIS HAS TO BE A TROLL. You are right, it's like the read a text book about how to **** us off and then posted.

The amount of fail here is mind boggling.

Seriously. Sell your car, you don't know what you're doing. You have failed it, and you will just make it worse trying to impress your madJDMtyteyo friends.

Man, threads like this really **** me off.

The roll bar is welded to the floor on 4" square plates made of 1/4in steel plate with 2" of space from edge to bar. And thank you 18psi for opening my eyes to this mani I am super pissed. I paid $350 for that thing I had no idea it was that crappy! Needless to say I will be contacting artech by the end of the month I think for 7-800 bucks that is super nice stuff. I have spent all night reading threads and have decided to sell my 240 and put the money into my miata! IFC am gonna do it I may as well do it right!

I see every one is mad at me! In my defense I paid $300 for this car and for the longest amount of time it has really just been a cheap form of transportation to me. Until recently I didn't realize the potential is such a light weight car.

HOLY F%$K!!!!!!!!!! that is like, a $70-$90 manifold! you definitely didnt buy it from the vendor on ebay. Someone ripped you off hardcore. $350 would actually get you a pretty badass manifold if you searched hard enough.

The MS is a good decision, but do something about those cut springs. Cut springs are NEVER a good choice. Very dangerous

But, with that said, WELCOME! i hope you find everything you need on here. I myself just moved from St.Louis to Pittsburgh about 2 years ago. I lived in St.Louis for 6 years
