If it's a three wire, you can hook an ohm meter across the two non-ground wires and see if it 'sweeps' through resistance in a linear fashion. If so, it's variable.

Please take pics.

I picked up my tps201 today, and it decidedly doesn't fit my tb. The hole is way too big, the tps has nothing with which to grab onto the throttle shaft. I'll be using mapdot in the meantime.

Looks like its variable with the insides. Will have to see if it fits the shaft.

Ok the white plastic does fit the shaft and I could get it to work by chopping the end off the white piece and drilling the plastic case so the shaft would protrude out of it.

What about the functioning of the sensor eg would it work set up at the correct position of the sensor for the throttle if that makes sense?

In other words when the throttle is closed will this sensor be in the closed position?

Thanks. Doesn't the shaft have to pass through the side of the tps?

See above.

I could make the shaft fit through by drilling it.

We were posting simultaneously.

Is this tps not spring-loaded? If it is, it's easy to match it's home position with the throttle shaft's home position.

Yes the tps has copper on it thats is bent outwards which contacts the inner circle and is therefore spring loaded.

After consideration, I will disassemble AFM harness and solder wires and heat shrink my connections. TPS-I will just pull my 5V ref from my AFM and use the 2L WOT wire and swap that to the 2M TPS pin on ecu. Ensuring proper pinouts of the other wires of course. IAT-same, solder and heat shrink new connections.
