Read the manual please. You've been given suggestions but you don't seem to even know enough to use terms appropriately or really understand what is being suggested to you. Not trying to offend you but it's pointless unless you have a better foundation of knowledge. We've all been there and then read and read and read.

Let's not be too harsh on the new guy. You're making me feel bad about recommending he come over here.

Serious though, Poobs, some reading would be in order. I hate just arbitrarily throwing web sites at people, but you would be well-served to go through pretty much the whole MSnS-Extra Manual a time or two. You really do need to build a foundation of knowledge before you can start effectively tinkering with some of this stuff.

To answer your question, all the tables in MS can be scaled by a multiplier, or shifted by an offset, under "Tools" -> "Table Transform".

I didn't think I was being harsh, just blunt. By all means stay here and learn. He seems like a nice guy and eager to take advice.

Oh you guys didn't think that you were going to get rid of me that easy , did you ?

Thanks to the information that you provided I drove the car, logged the data, loaded the data into VEA, accepted the recommend settings which I then burned/saved to the ECU. I will drive the car tomorrow to see how it feels.
It was all short and sweet cause my crappy lap top battery goes dead in a hurry.
One thing that concerns me is what the AFR VE target values are right now and what they are causing MLV – VEA to do.

Yes, the ones under "More Settings" scroll down to AFR targets for VE table 1

Later

I said not too harsh. We can beat him with a stick a little, but I don't want any compound fractures. It's difficult to get blood to come off of forum serves.

AFR, not VE. He's asking to see what your mixture targets look like. IOW:

For that matter, it'd be helpful to have a whole MSQ.

It's a fuel VE table.

How the hell would you know if it's lean/rich or perfect from just looking at it - and for that matter not even knowing what it is!?

What a waste of a post!

I think you can rescale, maybe that's only MS-II.
You run 15:1 at WOT when N/A? don't you burn valves/kill engines doing that? Or have I misunderstood, do you aim for 15.5:1 at 100kpa whilst your engine is FI'd? I'm out of my comfort zone here. If you do, do the latter, what's the benefit?

FWIW I aimed for 13.5:1 when I was N/A though the difference in power between 12:1 and 13.5:1 wasn't detectable via my butt dyno, made a minor improvment in mpg however.

Oh shnap thanks man I had no idea.

My question was what the heck is it for. Looks really lean compared to all other fuel tables I've seen on here but thats because I've need seen a fuel table for an NA car. Don't be a douche. Your reply was a waste of life.

Not sure it's limited to last night.

Where on earth did you get any of these values from? Certainly not from here or the megamanual. Seriously, did you just pull this from thin air?

Thanks

This is basically the AFR table that comes with the base PnP tune. I think the stock table just reads 16.1 all over

Now, when I look at my logs my A/F goes as rich as 12.1 to as lean as 15.2 ( as I recall)

Any ideas ?

yikes, if you let MLV tune with that table your engine will not be happy. Please read the manual, please look through this thread to see how drastically different your values are than anyone elses. That is WAY to lean. If you're luckily the car will stop running before you burn stuff/blow stuff up.

poobs, if you tune your engine with that AFR target table, you WILL blow up the engine.

Remember when several members sincerely suggested you should read the megamanual?

Click this:
MegaSquirt - Electronic Fuel Injection Computer by Bowling & Grippo * * ©2005
Then on the left hand side, under the column megamanual, there's a point called "tuning" click it. Read.

At some point, you're going to have to start reading the manuals!
