Because my old ms2 needed a little modification on the board to run the cops.
(I had no spark)
I recently bought a diypnp and I am wondering if I am goiong to face the same problem.

there should be no reason to perform a hardware modification to run cops. What did you even do?

There should be a setting check under ignition settings...you need to reduce the dwell to 2.0-2.1ms and alter the dwell/battery correction table.

I don't know what hardware changes had to be done. Reverant made it for me.
