Anyone's Tripplite cable die recently
I was re-programming my Megasquirt from my Windows 7 machine last weekend. I was ending up with gibberish on my megasquirt when trying to detect the com port. Next thing you know I was re-installing windows drivers since the cable seemed to pass the test, but still couldn't talk the megasquirt. I had another USA-19HS cable which I then swapped out the body, and it worked fine.
So, figured the body/adapter failed. My workmate brought up this recent issue with the FTDI chipset/USB that tripplite seems to use.
