so I'm a noob. I got this thing for cheap from a guy I'm running MS2 and I want it running on a 1.8l protege the guy that had it before was wiring it up for a GTX set up which is the 1.8l bp if you guys didn't already know. Anyway long story short he never got it running so I got it and I wired it up and got it to show the IG, I2, I1, PMP and IDL all of those light up on the sim when I turn it on and flash just like they would if the car was on like the I2 and I1 both alternate when I turn up and down the RPM it changes and all that.

Ok my issue is it see the my MS2 when I hook my computer up to it but it will work on my friends built MS1 I checked to see if anything was messed up with the com ports and all that first and I tested it with hyperterm by looping by jumping pin 12 and 13 and it works fine there the only issue is that megatune and tunerstudio do not see it at all...

any ideas?

MSII requires the COM port BAUD rate to be set at 115200, not the 9600 that MS1 runs at.

 

I had the BAUD rate at 115200

 

I assume it's a dizzy wheel setup?

could the issue be with the firmware?
