I believe the proper command in Megatune is 'fetch from ecu'.

It fetches all the settings when you go to File -> Save. The Fetch from ECU command is for reverting to setting in the ECU when you have changed settings in MegaTune but not burned them to the ECU.

go to microsoft.com and download the "sync toy" power tool. schedule it to synch with another computer every week and you wont have this problem.

Really now. I did not know this. hmmmmm

So what does it fetch from when I open an MSQ on my desktop with no MS connected, but tell it not to be in offline mode and then save changes?

Or just do what I do, and use a spare USB thumbdrive to store all your miata related junk. I aint risking losing that much effort.

Synctoy is a great program btw, if you have two large drives in your computer but dont want to setup a raid 1, then its great to back **** up.

I don't think it fetches from anything, just saves the changes. If it fetched from anything, you'd be in trouble as the settings wouldn't be safe to use at all.

You just wrote it fetches from the ECU when you save, then what if there is no ECU to save from only an open file that you are editing?

Yeah, you can burn all your bookmarks to a cd.

Better yet id recommend that you get a large(200+gig) external hard drive and just save everything you care about on that.

Worry free

Get firefox and have it sync your bookmarks and junk.
