connector pinout

SEE MATT'S POST BELOW. IGNORE WHAT MAY BE PRINTED ON THE CONNECTOR. PIN 9 IS THE BOTTOM LEFT PIN
THE PINS ARE POSITIONED LIKE THIS ON THE MS:

I am getting ready to connect the EBC. The MS site ( MegaSquirtPNP by DIYAutoTune.com ) says to connect to Pin 9. Is Pin 1 the one on the top-left when the lock tab is on the top? Pin 9 would be directly below it.See the attached image.
Edit: attached a new image. Are the labels correct when looking at the connector this way with the wires on the back side?
Edit #2: With a magnifying glass, and then verified by taking a picture and zooming in, I was able to identify markings on the connector. The numbers in the first picture are correct. And I pointed to the markings in the second picture below.

Don't go by the numbers - they weren't there on the original connector we spec'ed! The correct pins are the mirror image of what you posted.
Anyone has pin-out diagram for this? So we can have better explanation for it.

Looking at connector 2 on the MS, Pin 1 is the top left, Pin 8 is top right, Pin 9 is bottom left, and Pin 16 is bottom right.
