Default DIYPNP - Why no PA0 available in output ports in TS?

I am sure that I am missing something simple.

I cannot even see an option for PA0 in the programmable output ports in Tuner Studio.

I searched, but I cannot find anyone who has had this issue.

I want to use it to drive the fans, as normal.

Out of desperation, I dedicated WLED to the fans - this works well...

This has to be a software detection issue. I checked continuity from the module header back to the PA0 pin - all good.

Any ideas? I don't see a config screen at the programmable output page in Tuner Studio....

Thanks

Firmware is: MS2/Extra release 3.3.1 20131206

DIYPNP on 1999 Miata 1.8

The other issue that I am having is that the idle starts at 1200 and progresses toward 1800, where it holds. I think that the IAC is being held open - could this also be related to the firmware?

I have to go learn about the signal to the IAC...

it almost appears like you have MSI firmware loaded or something.

did you load this firmware yourself? did you select microsquirt when doing so? what map are you using? why did you load 3.3.1 and not the latest 3.3.2?

Actually, that looks like you've loaded with "MicroSquirt (cased)" firmware instead of MicroSquirt Module firmware. The cased MicroSquirt doesn't have as many pins out.

It appears you have incorrect firmware loaded. Run the portcheck program and take a screen shot of the result, please.

<edit> What Matt said, who I guess types faster.

Will do - thanks for the help so far. Could this also explain the craziness with the idle - i.e. no IAC functionality out?

All - thanks for your help so far. I flashed 3.3.2. Now PA0 is back, plus the other outputs that I was missing.

I reloaded the base map from the 99 miata page on DIYAutotune.

I have 440 injectors - I re-did the fuel equation and PWM when I reloaded the base map.

I now get the car to start, but it dies shortly after.

I started to adjust the after start enrichment, but I am not sure that is the source of the issue.

I noticed that FIDLE was disabled as a port - should this be on to drive the IAC?

Is there a preferred msq to use for my application?

Any other hints to get the idle sorted?

Thanks for the help so far.

You will need to turn on the output under Startup / Idle -> Idle Control as it seems like you loaded an MSQ file from an older firmware and it did not copy over correctly.

FIDLE should not be enabled as a programmable on/off output.

After setting the Idle Control [PWM valve, open-loop], the car wants to idle for a few seconds, then dies. I can maintain it running at higher rpms.

Starting to do some research on what I can adjust, but my first guess is that this is completely related to the IAC transition time of 6 seconds.
