Default Megasquirt in... car won't start. Help.

So I have a Brainbuilt MS3x and I followed all his instructions but I can't get the car to start. Turns over but I get nothing but but a few backfires. Not sure if the base tune is built in or what.

PS: I'm dumb. I've got this far though, so I can't be entirely stupid.

I don't even know how to datalog. I got the sensors calibrated in Tuner Studio and then tried turning it over. The AEM Wideband is off by almost 1.

at top of tunerstudio there is button with wording on it "data logging"
Click it and click "start logging"
Save as whatever name you want it to be.
Try to crank it a couple times while its data logging, then stop the data log ( click data logging, click stop ) and upload it here with your tune.

I don't know if Brain was supposed to send me a tune, but I don't have one as far as I know. I'll go out tomorrow and datalog it after work and post it up here. I should be able to figure that out.

if you can interface with the ecu and tweak settings there is a tune in it. Just save tune or copy current tune

Suggestion. Check to see if your spark wires got hooked up backwards. Despite double-checking and triple-checking when I hooked up my MS1, I still somehow ended up with IGN1 and IGN2 being swapped by accident and I had the symptoms that you're having. Swapped them and everything fired up perfectly on the first try.

I had the problem once, never forget to double check them since. They're good.

so youre igniting a bunch of fuel. sounds like we miscommunicated on what injector size you're currently running or the map sensor is not hooked up.

correcting the wideband is easy, considering I calibrated it up for the lc-1

are all other gauges/sensors/tps reading correctly?

Attached is a screen shot of what I am seeing in the composite logger in the Diagnostics tab. Then I also attached a datalog of me cranking the car over for a few seconds.

I wanna get this thing running tonight.

It also says Not Synced in a red box at the bottom of TunerStudio studio. Not sure if that's got anything to do with anything.

Obviously something is wrong if things aren't syncing. Here is a video of what's going on outside of the car. I'm still a noob with all of this stuff, but I think I should be able to figure stuff out with a little guidance.

Any one have any ideas? I'm gonna have at it again today after work at 5:30. I wanna have it running so I can go to an event next weekend. Its been 2 months since I started tearing into this car, and I wanna get rid of the ---- piggyback. Help a brother out with this mighty MS3x.

Bumping this up to the top.
I'm experiencing a very similar - maybe the same- issue on my 90 with MS3. The video is just what my car is doing as well.

Spyder, what was the fix on this?
I'm stuck on the first start- TS is set to fixed 10* timing, the car is set to ~14* (on stock ECM). I noticed a field under Combined Ignition Options-> Change Crank Advance--- this is set to 15*. Maybe the combo of the advanced static timing of the engine + MS not being set yet = too advanced to start?
