Default MS1 by Brain suddenly started doing resets on the track

Hardware is:
MS1 by Brain, DW700 fuel injectors, DW fuel pump, LC-1, '96 Miata, stock coils, stock alternator, Dell tuning laptop with serial port, 350 watt power inverter plugged into cigar lighter socket.

I swapped to a different turbo last week and used TS and my laptop to autotune before going to the track. Everything was fine. I also did some autotuning on the track because there wasn't a great deal of street tuning done before getting there. Second or third track session on Saturday saw a couple of complete power loss moments while in boost. It quickly became more common.

I put the laptop back in car on Sunday and recorded a log. Resets were evident (and tach needle dropping to zero). I researched threads back to 2011 without any luck other than to check grounds.

I loosened several ground points on the car and retightened them. It continued to get worse. Car is nearly undriveable now. I put it on the trailer with two sessions left.

Log attached. PLEASE HELP!

The forum isn't allowing the .msl to be uploaded even though it is within the size limit listed.

There are a bunch of red reset marks on the timeline. I'll see if I can figure out why it won't upload.

was your car near vodka?

180MAP is like the threshold I'd ever run stock coils at.

check your plugs' health and maybe try gapping slightly lower and seeing if it happens again.

When this happens my tach drops to zero then jumps right back up.

If it was coils/plugs it shouldn't effect the tach, right?

Check your Lost Sync Reason, probably your CAS or wiring between CAS and ECU?

that was my experience with stock coils pushing 12psi and too much gap. it would cause ecu resets on logs and i'd see the tach drop to zero because of missed events (tach is driven by coils).

I did not realize it would cause resets. Well, either the gap has eroded or the coils are getting weak because the boost was turned down for the event. It does explain why it continued to worsen.

Thank you for the advice. It looks like I will need to buy some LS2 truck coils to go with the nice bracket HHammerly made for me.
