Car: bone stock '91, no a/c. no IAT setup, narrowband sensor.
Megasquirt: MS1 v2.2, spark mod, cas mod, .1 uf capacitor installed
Firmware: MSnSe 029y4. successfully loaded up firmware.
Software: Megatune 2.25 p3, communication with ecu successful.
Basemap: MSPNP9093 msq file.

Readings during ON and while cranking:
0 rpm
~80-90 Kpa engine map
~23 deg. F coolant temp
no manifold air temp (no iat installed)
0 pulse width
AFR ~28:1
0% Duty Cycle 1
10 deg. BTDC

From reading all of the stickies and diyautotune's directions I assumed that loading up the firmware and getting a decent basemap installed would allow me to fire up the car without adjusting too many other settings.

I guess I should start with getting an RPM reading going?

if the MS doesnt see the rpms it will never spark. there's something up with the tach input mod.

 

Yeah, No RPM on crank indicates you're not pulling in the proper signal from CAS.

I looked at your pictures and they're kinda hard to see, but it appears you did the mod correctly. Check your settings in megatune and make sure you wired megasquirt to the car properly. Start there before you do the checks I emailed you about.

Its a little late now, but you'll wish you bought the PCM connector in the future. Its worth twice what it costs..
