Default MS2 PNP idle droop... its gonna kill me!!

We got our idle valve running the idle, and running in closed loop, the idle droop was bad, but it wasn't impossible to drive

I made a few minor changes including adding a little dashpot, but it didn't seem to make any difference,

I drove my car to work, and guess what... stalled on me... 4 times, on a 30km drive! all in traffic as i clutch in coming to a stop, what i did notice is that the car usually strikes a low idle (500-600, about 200 below my closed loop target), i can't seem to find any coherence to when it happens, cept i seem to be able to control it a little if i was clutching in just about 1000 rpm.

I tried the idle valve test but never quite got what values am i suppose to be looking at...

Find the attached MSQ is my most current tune. I don't even have my tuning laptop with me!

Any recommendations? Hopefully traffic will be light going home.... I am going to re-open my idle valve again to raise the idle a bit..

what year is you car?

if you are idling that low under your target, you need more I term.

the idle valve test mode lets you see the DC% range your valve works within. you lower the term until the valve doesn't lower the engine speed anymore and take note, do the same for the upper limit. then you dump those numbers into the parameters for your closed loop control. You can dump the RPMs you saw at each in there as well.

Do you have a TPS?

I find that when I clutch in coming to a stop and it droops/stalls, I'm not in closed loop idle and the idle valve is at closed position.

i should note that the unit is a DIY PNP by Reverant on a 03

critical thing is, the low idle isn't always present, sometimes it stays near my target, other times it does not

Greg: yes i do, and it is configured

Start by setting the minimum duty for PID to 20%.

I restored to an older map, it does osciliate a bit but at least it doesnt stall as badly, i tried adding dashpot which seemed to not have helped much

I also documented me playing with the idle with an older map, if someone could help it'd be greatly appreciated, i have the idle doing alright, but it is a bit off target, then it slowly climbs down
